Hi my name is Bronwyn Barry. I am your host at Exnells historical home. Please enjoy your time in this beautiful part of the world. I am normally upstairs if needed so do not hesitate to explore the house and I'll be around somewhere.It is essential I know when you are arriving as sometimes I may need to leave the key and instructions out.

 

 

Plimmerton accommodation with spectacular views, on the water's edge.  Experience staying in old world charm, and the convenience of the train station across the road. This 1897 built home named Exnells is steeped in Wellington history. Very rare beachfront location. Look out your bedroom or relax on the balcony to Pohutukawa that frame the sea, Whitirea, Mana island & the South Island. The beach seat is the spot for watching people, boats, sunsets, shags & stingrays. Relax in the garden & make yourself a pizza in the pizza oven.

Please note, due to the homes heritage there is only 1 internal shared shower and toilet which was only added in 1995. There is an outside toilet and the laundry has an old bath and shower.  For me, its 5 mins in the shower compared to having private access to the beach and its views. A small price to pay to pay.

I have spent my life travelling and love the beach life.With both my children getting on with their own lives I have leased this amazing historic homestead that I happily share with like minded people and also work full time in the Aged Care industry. Of the 7 rooms, 1 is taken by myself and my partner Phil.

There are also Kayaks and SUP for your use. Wonderful beach walks and cafe scene. I have eaten everywhere local so can steer you in the right direction ! Nothing better than being on the water when its a full tide and calm.
